Best Buy For Business

In 2008, Best Buy launched its B2B capability, Best Buy For Business (BBFB). Helping them lead and launch this effort was MSTS and SCHERMER. 

MSTS provided, and still does, customized invoicing and credit solutions that enables Best Buy to offer business accounts and streamline underwriting, collections, and billing and payments. SCHERMER served as Strategic AOR for Best Buy’s Business Customer and Best Buy Corporate Gift Cards, establishing the BBFB brand and its integrated retail and vertical marketing programs that created awareness of and demand for their new business offerings. 

Together, we helped BBFB scale its capabilities and grow its B2B revenue by an astounding 800% over the span of five years.

Red Wing For Business

Red Wing’s B2B industrial and safety footwear business accounts for the majority of the company’s revenue, yet its B2B program was unscalable. With MSTS’ help, Red Wing created a new Hassle-Free Safety Program, a B2B FinTech and payment platform that streamlines and digitizes customer set-up, ordering, inventory, selection, billing, reimbursements and delivery between Red Wing, B2B customers and stores — all with a seamless user experience to boot.

Red Wing then hired SCHERMER as its first B2B agency to kick off the new program – leading to the launch of entirely new B2B brand: Red Wing For Business. Demand Gen efforts since launch are delivering 8X monthly leads than before, generating unprecedented pipeline and traction with previously unserviceable enterprise companies.

Capella For Employers

Capella Education Corporation, like other companies in the for-profit, online education space, was facing declining enrollment and pricing pressures. They did offer a successful online Nursing degree program, and wanted to find a way to scale that and other skill-building businesses they’d acquired. To establish their B2B presence in the marketplace, they turned to SCHERMER to help them launch their new B2B vision, which became Capella For Employers. 

SCHERMER helped Capella define, design and develop its B2B portfolio strategy, from branding and positioning to messaging. To launch the program to B2B HR, Nursing and Business Leaders, SCHERMER created a digital marketing & demand gen program, creative and content assets, a website and sales enablement tools.
